About Fashion Utah
Officially launched in January, 2012, Fashion Utah’s goal is to give Utahns a central location for information on the local fashion and beauty industry, including events, boutiques, designers and stylists.
The concept was developed and started when Jet Moody, a former stylist and Hollywood event producer, moved back to Utah and realized there was no single site/place for information on fashion events and boutiques in Utah. As a result, Fashion Utah is continually updating its listings in hopes to provide readers the opportunity to see where people are shopping and what trends are hitting Utah.
The site is truly a passion project which hopes to unite Utah’s fashion world. As such, we welcome any e-mails or suggestions. Please let us know if we’ve missed you or your favorite designer or store.
Jet Moody, Editor and Writer
Jet Moody began her fashion career in Los Angeles, California. Having worked Fashion Week, department store shows, gifting suites and for fashion magazines, Jet started Fashion Utah in hopes of creating one place for Utahns to find out more about their local industry.
“When I moved back to Utah I wasn’t sure where to find the best boutiques or fashion events. The more time I spend in the Beehive State, the more I realized how many people are working to unite and continue to create an amazing fashion scene right here in Utah – and I wanted to be part of that.”
With degrees from the Fashion Institute of Design Merchandising and Brigham Young University, Jet has worked in fashion styling, marketing, public relations and now works in media relations in Salt Lake City. In addition to her full-time job and Fashion Utah, Jet also teaches in the Fashion Retail Management Program at the Art Institute of Salt Lake City, does marketing for the Salt Lake Association of Fashion Designers and is the FIDM Alumni Chapter President for Utah.
